Walking into any unfamiliar environment can feel daunting - especially when you are already carrying something heavy. We understand that. And we want to remove as much uncertainty as possible before you arrive.
So here is an honest, straightforward account of what actually happens when you visit Healing Rooms Zimbabwe.
You Do Not Need to Prepare Anything
You do not need to bring a Bible. You do not need to have memorised any scriptures. You do not need to be a Christian, or a regular churchgoer, or to have any particular level of faith. You do not need to dress a certain way or use religious language.
You just need to come as you are. That is enough.
Arriving at the Hellenic Sports Club
We meet every Saturday from 10:30am to 11:30am at the Hellenic Sports Club in Harare. You can arrive at any point during that window - there is no fixed start time for individual prayer sessions.
When you arrive, a member of our welcome team will greet you warmly. They will invite you to fill in a brief registration form with your name and a short description of what you are seeking prayer for. This is entirely confidential and is used only to help us pray specifically for your needs.
Meeting Your Prayer Team
You will be introduced to one or two trained prayer ministers. These are ordinary Christians from various church backgrounds who have completed specific training in healing prayer ministry. They are not counsellors or pastors in an official capacity - they are simply people who love God and have been equipped to pray effectively for others.
Before any prayer begins, your prayer minister will take time to listen to you. They will ask you to share - in as much or as little detail as you are comfortable with - what you are believing for. There is no pressure to disclose anything you do not want to share.
The Prayer Session
Prayer takes place in a quiet, private space. You will remain fully clothed and seated or standing - whatever is most comfortable for you. Depending on your preference and comfort, a prayer minister may gently place a hand on your shoulder while praying. You can decline this at any point - it is never a requirement.
Prayer ministers will pray aloud in simple, conversational language - speaking to God on your behalf and for your specific situation. The session typically lasts between fifteen and thirty minutes, though this can vary.
You do not need to do or say anything during the prayer. Simply receive. If you feel moved to pray, or to respond in some way, you are free to do so. There is no script and no expectation.
What You Might Experience
People experience different things during prayer. Some feel a strong sense of peace or warmth. Some feel very little emotionally but notice physical changes in the days that follow. Some feel emotional and need to process what they experienced. Some feel exactly the same immediately after but find that something has shifted over the following weeks.
We do not manufacture an atmosphere or pressure any particular kind of response. We simply create a quiet space, bring the presence of God, and trust Him to do what He does.
What We Will Not Do
We will not pressure you to make a spiritual decision. We will not ask for money or expect a donation. We will not tell you that your faith is insufficient if healing does not come immediately. We will not share your information with anyone outside the ministry. We will not push you to attend any particular church.
Our only goal is to serve you by bringing your need before a God who loves you.
Can You Come Back?
Absolutely. Many people visit multiple Saturdays, especially when walking through a longer healing journey. You are always welcome to return. Some people come once and experience a dramatic breakthrough. Others find that healing comes gradually through multiple sessions of prayer and encounter.
There is no limit on how many times you can receive prayer, and each session is always free of charge.
A Final Word
We know that taking the step to come for prayer can feel vulnerable. It requires a kind of courage to say "I need help" and to open yourself to someone praying for you.
We honour that courage. And we do everything we can to make sure that when you take that step, you are met with genuine warmth, respect, and love.
We hope to see you this Saturday.
